Limit of vanishing regulator in the functional renormalization group

نویسندگان

چکیده

The nonperturbative functional renormalization group equation depends on the choice of a regulator function, whose main properties are ``coarse-graining scale'' $k$ and an overall dimensionless amplitude $a$. In this paper we shall discuss limit $a\ensuremath{\rightarrow}0$ with fixed. This is closely related to pseudoregulator that reproduces beta functions $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$ scheme studied in previous paper. It not suitable for precision calculations but it appears be useful eliminate spurious breaking symmetries by regulator, both nonlinear models within background field method.

Limit Cycles in the Renormalization Group

This paper will review the consequences of having limit cycles in the renormalization group. Characteristics such as discrete symmetry invariance and log periodic behavior of observables are expected in systems that exhibit limit cycles in their renormalization group. Some realizations of limit cycles will be explained. Specifically limit cycles in RG flows will be used to explain the Efimov ef...

Cluster Functional Renormalization Group

Functional renormalization group (FRG) has become a diverse and powerful tool to derive effective low-energy scattering vertices of interacting many-body systems. Starting from a non-interacting expansion point of the action, the flow of the RG parameter Λ allows to trace the evolution of the effective one-particle and two-particle vertices towards low energies by taking into account the vertex...

Proper time regulator and Renormalization Group flow

We consider some applications of the Renormalization Group flow equations obtained by resorting to a specific class of proper time regulators. Within this class a particular limit that corresponds to a sharpening of the effective width of the regulator is investigated and a procedure to analytically implement this limit on the flow equations is shown. We focus on the critical exponents determin...

The Wilson-Polchinski Renormalization Group Equation in the Planar Limit

We derive the Wilson-Polchinski RG equation in the planar limit. We explain that the equation necessarily involves also non-planar amplitudes with sphere topology, which represent multi-trace contributions to the effective action. The resulting RG equation turns out to be of the Hamilton-Jacobi type since loop effects manifest themselves through terms which are linear in first order derivatives...

the effect of functional/notional approach on the proficiency level of efl learners and its evaluation through functional test

in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...
